SPRING IS IN THE AIR AT NAVY PIER

The Chicago Flower and Garden Show returns to Navy Pier March 9-17. This year, the show will be themed around "The Art of Gardening" and connects fine art to fresh floral and great gardens.

The show exhibits area plant artists' two-dozen display gardens, hand drawings, sculptures and floral photography.  This show has something for everyone, including a kids activity garden where kids can get their hands dirty and a "How to Garden" demonstration for beginners and interpretive arrangements by the American Institute of Floral Design North Central Chapter, which will have attendees looking at plants and art with a fresh eye. In the "Marketplace," 30 new companies with join returning favorites for this season's tools, products and decorative items.

The show's hours are Monday-Saturday, 10am-8pm; Sundays, 10am-6pm.  Adults, $15-$17 (online), $17-$19 (box office); Children (ages 4-12), $5.

You will want to continue your winter escape at Margaritaville and savor a Gravity Storm cocktail.
