Picasso and Chicago is the first major Picasso exhibit organized by the Art Institute of Chicago (111 S. Michigan) in almost 30 years. The exhibit coincides with the centennial of the Armory Show at the Art Institute where Picasso’s exhibits were displayed in an American museum for the first time. The exhibit features several works, many from his Blue and Rose periods, his Cubist years and his post–World War II production. Picasso and Chicago boasts over 250 of Picasso’s work including sculptures, paintings, prints, drawings and ceramics.
